Extrusion nozzle, Nestlé
This extrusion nozzle was used for trial production of breakfast cereal. Five or six nozzles are inserted into the extruder head. As the compressed dough is pushed out through the nozzles, it adopts the shape cut into them. A rotary blade then cuts the dough free, to expand in the ambient air.
