Nussella is the first Swiss brand of vegetable fat created in 1924 by the Rapperswil-based company Nuxo. It is used in cooking and can be kept for several months. Vegetable fat has been used increasingly in cooking since the 1960s, replacing butter, as it is more heat-resistant.
