Trap
The pressure of the animal’s paw walking over the board of the tensed trap triggers the spring and causes the jaws to close. The bait is placed near the trap, with the trap set over the point of access to food or in thoroughfares. The trap-setting season runs in winter, but people start familiarising animals with eating in the killing ground from November onwards.
