What is diarrhoea?
Diarrhoea corresponds to a larger volume of stools and passing stools more than three per day. When we have diarrhoea, we lose a lot of water. It is therefore very important to drink a lot to replace it.
What are the causes of diarrhoea?
Diarrhoea is caused by the fact that the stools contain too much water. This can be the result of food poisoning or infections triggered by a virus, such as gastroenteritis. Food intolerances, certain intestinal diseases, intense emotions such as fear, or certain types of medication can also cause diarrhoea.
