Mustard has been manufactured in Switzerland since 1907. Before the invention of the aluminium tube in 1934, mustard was stored in stoneware pots and sold by weight in grocery stores. Ceramic, as a material, is chemically, climatically and mechanically resistant and so it protects the product well.
